Kale Chips Recipe
Posted on 21st of August, 2012 by Lévana
Since I understood how simple and delicious homemade kale chips are, I am totally liberated from their severely narcissistically high-priced commercial counterparts: Nothing to it, and so much fun! Not even a recipe, in fact! Here’s all you do:
Get a nice big bunch of kale. Remove the stems, just as the picture below instructs you
Wash the leaves and dry them thoroughly. Toss them very lightly with a few drops of olive oil and sea salt to taste. Place them in one layer in a cookie sheet, and place the sheet in a preheated 275 degree oven. Bake about 25 minutes, or a little longer, until very crisp. Crisp is key, so take good care of this step!
When you get the hang of it, you can play with other flavors. Choose from the following exciting additions, one at a time please: ground flax seeds, chili powder, wasabi powder, minced garlic, ground cuming, ground ginger, a dusting of grated parmesan, and so on! Delicious, nutritious and lean! You won’t need to wipe out an insanely rich bag of potato chips any more. There’s no harm -and no guilt – whatsoever in wiping out a whole batch of kale chips! Talk about healthy snacks!
