For example: This equation of democrat= enlightened smart set, and republican = boorish and philistine is pure outrage, and in any case BS. Our dear staunch democrat Julia Child had plenty of epithets for “les pedés”, and found the colorfully dressed Senegalese in Marseilles “very black”. That’s just one egregious example. His writing throughout his book superimposes his views, only too happy to align himself with a giant, no pun intended. xoxoxo

What I found annoying was when the author showed himself in the writing – giving his opinion, using an out-of-place colloquialism or expression. These should have been edited out. But overall, I am enjoying this more than detailed life story of an amazing woman! It really does inspire me!
